I am Joanna -- a photographer and a mom. I've lived in the Asheville area for 10 years, along with my husband and co-photographer, Mark, and our two young children, Cole & Harper.

My picture-taking approach is laid back and low-pressure. I understand that kids want to be kids, and that's the way that I want to capture them. I like to get to know them so that I can document their personalities accurately. My style is a blend of candid moments and posed portraiture (because newborn babies are so fun to bend, and because toddlers love to run!)
